The start of the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians has been delayed because of low-intensity blasts outside gate No. 12 of the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. At least six people have been injured but the cause of the explosion is unclear. Initial reports indicated it was a generator blow-up, however, television channels reported police as saying it was too early to determine a cause, but indicated it was no accident.
The toss was scheduled for 3.30 pm local time but it was delayed after the explosion occurred 30 minutes before it was due to take place. There has been no update on when or whether the match will start.
