As many as seven Pakistani players, including skipper Salman Butt are under scanner following arrest of a bookie by British Police.
Acting on a sting operation conducted by a leading British tabloid, police arrested a fixer Mazhar Majeed on suspicion on match fixing in the last Test against England at Lords.
According to the English tabloid, Pakistani pacer Md Aamer and Md Asif blatantly delivered three no balls.
For sting operation the Tabloid News of the World paid 150,000 pounds to a bookie, who correctly told them in advance about the no balls and when they will deliver.
The bookie also confessed the name of seven Pakistani cricketers, including captain Salman Butt and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal in the match fixing.
The sting video also showed Salman Butt standing with fixer Mazhar.
Meanwhile, Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed has said that the allegations are under investigation.
He said that no players were arrested and the tour will go as per the schedule.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has also been informed in this regard by the Metropolitan police. ICC said that PCB and ECB were cooperating in the probe.
This is worth mentioning here that this is not the first time when Pakistan cricket come under the match fixing allegations.
